I have a 1997 318i and the radio turns off every 20 or

i have a 1997 318i and the radio turns off every 20 or so minutes and comes back a while later and requires a code. is this a radio or fuse or connection problem ?

No...........neither, that's the wife changing the station on you.

Seriously, if it requires a code, you've lost main power to the radio, that's the only way it reports back code. got a loose wire somewhere.
