93 beretta front passenger brakes dragging caliber is locking up abs lights on not sure what else to do already changed caliber and pads still doing the same thing

which brake warning light is on? the xtype does not have pad wear sensors fitted. so i guess you mean the abs light or the handbrake light.more than likely its the abs light and the common problem is the reluctor rings on one or the other of the rear outer constant velocity joints corroded/ fell off get the fault codes out of the abs module to help.

Not a problem if you have the ABS System properly

I know what your saying, but common sense says there
are people capable of resolving the issue,you just have
to find that skilled person & one who likes fords

If what you saying is correct & the left front was dragging,
you could not use the car as the hubs would over heat &
you would have resolved the problem long ago.

First I would get those brakes looked at. There are generally little wire wear switches in the brake pads. When they wear the wire off, it trips the computer something is wrong. Heavens can only guess what else it does in the ECU mind. So fix that first and then see if problem goes away.

Check all of the brakes, Locking up is sometimes the GOOD brake. Look for frozen calipers or wheel cylinders, and fluid leaks.

Thats how I have done it on 2006 250. No C clamp.

the abs light on the dash should come on when the abs is working (emergency braking)if it comes on when braking normally(gently)chances are a sensor is gone(replace in pairs,fronts & rears)
abs stops the wheels from locking up in an emergency brake situation,you will feel the grab-release,grab-release on the brake pedal......

ABS light come on when this happens ?

The ABS is only a sensor and won't effect the brakeing even if the light is on. the only thing I can think to check is the steel brake line that connects to the rubber line. May be it's pinched and isn't letting the pressure off when you let off the brakes.

The proportional valve is stuck,not sure if it will be a 4 way or just a two way.Hope this helps.

I would replace the rubber brake hoses at the calipers. They get damaged internally when the calipers are left hanging while replacing pads. I've seen too many garages and shops do it not knowing what is going on inside the hose.
