Check the fluid level and if there is an Auto Zone around your area. Have the car scanned for the DTC codes to see if there is any related issues to the engine being ran low on oil. The DTC codes will inform you what the car's computer has logged in the history for you to address the issues and Auto Zone can give you the step by step instructions for you to fix the problem. Good luck and hope this helps.

Testimonial: "went to auto zone and the dtc code sayed to change air filter. .also disconected the postive, and negtive battery ,and the check engin light went out "

What does the oil warning light on a 2004 ford ka look like.

Bright Red. If you have a low engine oil light, when the engine gets 1 quart low or more, the light will come on to let you know you need oil. But if the oil pressure light come on, you better shut the engine down, or the engine will lock up, this is bad news. Depending on how much mileage you drive a week, the oil should be checked one a week. I hope this has been of help to you. Good Luck.

My daughter had her oil changed on her 2004 Suzuki Forenza today and now her RPM soars when she try's to accelerate over 15 MPH and the engine coolant fill is steaming (her description by phone).

i would bring it back to the garage that change the oil. they may have broke something or unplugged something, and i would check the oil level to see if they put oil in

MY 1998 JAGUAR XJ8L IS TURNING OVER BUT WONT START. MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN DRIVING IT AND SAID A "LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT WAS COMING ON. I JUST CHECKED THE OIL AND THERE IS NONE IN THERE!!! HOW MANY QUARTS...

Start with one quart but continue to put it in until the level reaches the full mark on the dipstick. Your car requires synthetic oil, 5/30w is fine, personally I wouldn't put synthetic in right away as I would check to see if it starts first and then if it does, change all the oil to synthetic asap. I say this only because there is no point pouring expensive oil into an engine that may require major repairs...which is possible if it was run low on oil for any length of time.

Hope this helps,
Dave
