FIRST adjust rear brake starwheel while spinning tire FOWARD. then alongside drivers side of car find emergency brake cable adjustment (long threaded rod with nut) . hold one end of rod with vise-grips and turn nut until emer. brake cable has less slack in it. now go inside car and apply e-brake.you dont want the pedal to stop right away but u also dont want too much"travel" in the pedal.so about halfway is IDEAL. IMPORTANT- once the brake cable is adjusted and the car wont roll foward in gear with the brake on and applying a little "gas"-make sure with brake OFF that rear wheels turn freely. hope this helps.

The cable is on the Throttle body side and should be lined up perfectly with the lug it goes on. Make sure you are not pulling on the cable or you will get a false indication of where it is. It has to be lined up with in a 32nd of an inch.. This is the baseline of where it would be in stock form. If you have it set like this and it wont shift until you let of it a little bit, then you need to loosen the cable a little bit. If you loosen it too much, you will have other problems..such as shifting too soon/late. It takes a while to get it how you want it. Start with making bold adjustments, you wont hurt anything, and see what it does. After you have a grasp as to what it doesn when you move the cable in either direction, make smaller adjustments..

You dont need a "tranny guy" to do this for you. If you dont know how to adjust the cable let me know and I or someone else on here will let you know how to do it, its.

the way i do it . if you put regular gas in and if your hear gas ping then go to the next grade it should quit. i dont like my four banger sounding like a diesel so i use 89 oct so it wont have the gas ping. it use to not ping on regular but lately we have been getting really **** gas around here so i watch were buy gas too.
