I had the same problem with my 03 Sierra. Took it to the GM dealership and they diagnosed it as shorted-out heater elements in the seat (bottom and back). Brace yourself - they're expensive to fix. Dealer wanted just over $900 USD and wouldn't guarantee the work. Even charged me $80 to diagnose the problem. Here's some good news - the elements are available online @ www.rockauto.com at about 1/3 the price from the dealership. If you can't install them yourself (it takes some upholstery know-how), contact a local auto upholstery shop and they should be able to intall them for you for around $100-$150.

Good Luck!

Where is the on button to turn on the heated seats in a 2007 ford five hundred? I just got the car and I don't know where it is and I was told there was heated seats.

The heated seats are a luxury feature that heat the front seats. This provides maximum comfort for the driver and the front passenger. To turn on the heated seats, press the heated seat button, which is a picture of a seat. There are two of these buttons, and each are located on the center console. The button on the driver's side of the console controls the heat for the driver's seat, while the button on the passenger's side of the center console controls the heat for the passenger's seat. Pressing the heated seat button will turn the heated-seats onto their highest setting. Pressing the button a second time will lower the heated seats to their medium setting. Pressing the button a third time will result in the lowest setting. Pressing the button a fourth time will turn off the heated seats. There are three lights next to the heated seat buttons to indicate what setting the heated seats are on.
Tip
The heated seats will only work when the engine is running.

2010 Lincoln MKS Heated Seat on driver's side stopped working (Light in button turns off on its' own)

The most common cause of this problem is that the drivers seat heater grid is open or burned out. That is based on 25 years as a Ford dealer technician.

Where are relays for heated seats in 2004 monte carlo ss

Hi jkelley, I'm glad to help!

Usually in most cases when the heated seats quit working its the heated seat element that you sit on under the padding. Here's what I want you to do: Turn the key on then push the heated seat on button and see if it lights up. This is a quick test but not always an accurate test because the switch could still be working but the LED Light could be bad. BUT, in most cases this is a good test. If it lights up then its safe to say that its mostly likely the ELEMENT that's bad. Most of the time if you'll raise the seat cover you'll see that the element is burnt. Hope this helps and have an awesome day.

Drivers side heated seat controls only. When turning on the heated seat controls for either switch on the drivers side all lights flash then turn off instantly. I can hear a relay clicking each time I push...

There is a drivers and passengers door/seat controll module. These have been failing a lot. dealers stock them now. The element in the seat can also be bad. I recommend taking it to the dealer as painfull as that may sound but they will diagnose it properly because they have to command it on and off with a scantool. Sorry for the bad news. The modules aren"t cheap and the element is difficult to replace. It is worth the 80.00 it will cost you to find out. Good luck

98 Aurora's heated seat not working

Check your fuses first. Then check to see if you have power to the box under seat. It should be about 3x3 and black I think. If you have power to the box change the box. To check use a test light. make sure the key is on and the button is pushed then probe the wires going to the box. Hope this helps you.
