Sometimes you have to take and push in on the button on the handle while you take your finger and pull down on the inside of the slot(door latch) that slides over the strike pin on the body of vehicle. It gets in the close position and won't go over the strike pin. Usually, you will hear a metal like sound when this is going on as you attempt to close it. Once you fix the problem it will be easy to solve if it ever happens again...children aren't the only ones that causes this to happen!

I have a mitsubishi diamante 1999, mechanic told me that it came back with a diagnostic code E-170 due to a check engine light. He said it had to do with the fuel system and/or vacuum/fuel injector. What does this code mean and how much am I looking at spending to get it fixed?
