Took 305 out and rebuilt it put it back and now coil won't fire in 08 Chevy

have you connected all the wires to the coil correctly. is the wire from the coil connected to the distributor. If it is EFI then have you reset the ECM program as disconnecting the battery will corrupt the program and affect the immobiliser.. Have you replaced the cam/crank position sensors properly and connected them up correctly.

I am having trouble fiquiring out which wire goes to which plug. The wires are different lengths and the correct wire length has to go specifically with the correct plug. I have the firing order dia

The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6
Cyl #1 is front left when looking at engine front to back
left coil pack connects to cyls. 5-2
center coil pack connects to cyls. 3-6
right coil pack connects to cyls. 4-1
It doesn't matter which connector on the coil you use just that the cylinder is connected to the proper coil pack (the coil fires both plugs at the same time, twice per each full 4 stroke cycle)

Fire orer spark plog

There is no firing order as your truck does not use plug wires. It is a direct fire system with coil over plug design. There is a single coil for each plug you have.

How do you put the spark plug wires back in the correct order if you forgot the right order by not marking them???

The oil should be labeled 1-6. The spark plugs on the front of the engine ( radiator side) are from the passenger to the drivers side 1-3-5. The cylinders on the back side of th engine are from passenger to the drivers side 2-4-6. Put the worse from the cylinder to the corresponding number on the coils. If your coils are not labeled I would need to know the eight letter of your vin number to get you the correct coil numbers.

I need a coil in #cylender but need to the fireing

If you are triing to find the bad coil simply run the truck and unplug each coil wire connection from each coil one at a time and change the one that dosn't change the way the engine is running. If you have coil over plug type ignition the firing order is controled by the computor and as long as you plug the coils in correctly no firing order is needed.
