My engine vibrates and makes rattle noise at idle mode. When I drive no noise,but when I apply the braked at a full stop and sit with my foot on the brake peddle to keep it from moving such as at a stop light, it vibrates so hard that it shakes the whole car.The same situation at parking mode when the engine is running. I have been told the motor mounts may be going bad. How can I tell if it is that? I think it may be either something loose from when they replaced the proportioning valve since it wasn't doing the noise until they replaced it.
open the hood have someone u trust sit in the car and put it in drive holding the break with it in gear tap the throttle quick if the engine looks like it wants to jump out its a mount issue granted it will move about 3-4 inches if there ok anything more you have a problem try it in both (D) and (R)

my driver's side door on my 2002 kia rio has been giving me problems for several years now (generally only in the winter). sometimes the key doesn't fit in properly (the key isn't bent)...it's like the mechanism itself is a little off kilter. sometimes it won't unlock once it's locked....other times it won't catch when you shut it...it acts like a door frozen with ice...it just bounces back...even though it's not frozen with ice. when it was under warranty they apparently replaced the entire mechanism....but i'm skeptical...because it's still giving me problems. right now it won't catch when you shut it...so i can't drive it unless i'm willing to hold the door shut the entire time.
