SOUNDS LIKE ONE PROBLEM CAUSING 2.BRAKE FEEL MUSHY? FROZEN CALIPERS HOLDING BACK TRANS-RACING MOTOR CAUSING OVERHEATING BATTERY? OR.... BAD TRANS CAUSES RACING MOTOR TO OVERHEAT BATTERY.? SOUNDS LIKE 1-(CAUSE) SLIPPING TRANS , RACING ENGINE,,BATT OVERHEATS ETC........DEPENDS ON WHICH STARTS FIRST-TRANS ISSUE, 2 ENGINE RACING, 3 HOT BATTERY? THAT EQUALS A PUZZLE READY TO BE SOLVED. IF YOUR BRAKE SYSTEM WHERE IN GOOD SHAPE (EMERG BK TOO) I WOULD LEAN TOWARD THE TRANS FROM HERE. GOOD LUCK, FRANK M (PS, DONT KEEP CHANGING YOUR BATT BECAUSE OF THIS,THE ALTERNATOR IS OVERCHARGING THE BATT DUE TO THE RACING OF THE ENGINE DUE TO EVERYTHING ELSE. GO FOR THE CORE!

Car starts but when u change the gear it dont move

RPM at 800 , in drive
can you race motor in neutral, to 2500 rpm
?
1: does rpm rise above 1500 in drive and no movement, (slip and bad tranny)
2: or holds about 1500 but can move. (brakes frozen , with ice)
try to push car in neutral on flat ground, can you>
no , the brakes are iced.
yes, then engine power is bad.
with A/T trans, you get to first find out.
1: is engine weak.
2: is tranny slipping (races to very high rpm and no go)
3: or brakes ices, (post location so we can see climate, duh?

The drake light on top of my truck works but the brake lights on the tail do not. also my signal lights do not work

you need to check all the fuses,if they are ok you probably have a shorted brake switch and a shorted turn signal switch,or just a shorted turn signal switch.

I changed the shoes on the Parking brakes on my 2005 Escalade EXT, adjusted the shoe adjusters so the shoes "just" drake when the drums are re-installed, cleaned and re-lubed the mechanical cylinders,...

The first time you use the brakes on a drum the shoes will equalize with each other. This may be the reason it doesn't seem adjusted right. Readjust the shoe adjusters till you can just hear the scrape and try again.

1966 mustang sequential turn/tail/brake lights/signals are ALIVE!

Recheck ALL the wiring, check the brake light switch and signal switch. Either on could have gone bad due to its age. Them suspect the controller for the lights. What do the 4 ways do? I think I would be suspecting the signal switch.
