We have the exact same problem as chipkitty5 including driver's side window. We have replaced the multi-switch, but had limited success. Has anyone replaced the combo flasher? Did it work?
Sorry, Thought It would post in the same stream. Here is the copy of that post. By chipkitty5 on Mar 28, 2009" " All signal bulbs are in good working condition, hazards work. Neither turn signal will work. Replaced the multi-switch and still won't work. The driver's side window also has issues. It will go down, but then is almost impossible to get back up. You never know when it will fool you. Any ideas?? Thanks
I will add that our left blinker (when it works) flashes twice the pace as the right. We have replaced the multi-switch and had breif success. Hazards work, Wipers work, but will come on intermittently even though the switch is off. My husband has removed the multi-switch and cleaned all the leads and connections. That will work breifly. Then they fail again.Sorry, Thought It would post in the same stream. Here is the copy of that post.

Yes they run a wire loom that has wires that are not used in some models. One thing you need to check is the wire loom because it flexes every time the door opens and closes and wires can break .Also you may want to go to autozone website and make a free account, you can put in the year make and model and look for the free repair guides for wire diagrams.
Make sure all the bulbs are working in the turn signal. Some front turn signals will use two or more bulbs per side. If any one of these bulbs are burned out it will cause the turn signal to flash at a fast rate. It also could be a bad control lighting control switch a.k.a. multi-function switch.
This happened to me to. Eventually, the left turn signal didn't work at all, but luckily, there was an easy solution for this. Replace the Flasher Relay, located in the fuse panel under the driver's side dash; it's fairly high up there as well. You can get the part at any auto parts store for about $35.
The problem has to be in the multi function stalk if all of those parts were replaced correctly. This is the actual turn signal switch on the steering column.
Try the Combo Flasher. It is located in the Junction Block in the drivers area under the dash. You may have to pull off the knee panel to get at it. If you're vehicle is equipped with "Daylite Running Lamps" it will be part of that relay. Located in the same spot only a bigger relay. With the window - do the interior lites dim when it has issues going up? If so it is probably drawing to much amperage thus the motor. If not then the switch probably has poor contacts and needs replacing. Good Luck.
