I need a cooling system diagram for 2001 Chevy blazer

Follow the top and bottom radiator hoses. Goes goes to the thermostat in a round about way which is right on the top of engine behind the EGR valve. Bottom hose goes right to the waterpump, easy access from underneath. The temperature sensor is located on drivers side mid engine. Look through drivers tire wheel well, you can see the sensor, brass fitting. A note, the top hose where it's attached to the thermostat is metal....tends to rust out, just get a new one and snake it back through there.

Engine Diagram 2007 kia sportage

With conventional cooling system, the upper radiator hose goes to thermostat housing on the engine. You drain antifreeze down, a little, remove radiator hose from thermostat housing, remove thermostat housing, the thermostat should be inside the housing.
Some antifreeze is poisonous, dispose of properly.
Install new thermostat, hook everything back up. Add proper amount of antifreeze to the proper mark. Keep an eye on antifreeze level for a while till your sure all air worked out of the system.

What is the proper postion of the thermostat in a 1996 dodge avenger> Does it matter in which position the thermostat is postioned

Yes it matters. The bleed valve must piont straight up. If it is not in the correct position, the cooling system will get an air pocket and cause overheating. (See diagram)dttech_19.gif

Most of the time a thermostat is located where the radiator hose goes into the engine block on top of thr engine not underneath the radiator.

1998 Chevy Tahoe doesn't heat up except when engine is reved up over 2000 rpm. Took heater core out and flushed it, checked hoses don't know what else to check? Help

Iv the engine is not getting up to operating temperature and it is full of coolant (50/50 mix of coolant and water) the thing to check would be the thermostat. Where the hose comes off the top of the radiator and goes into the engine block there will be a round top housing there very close that houses the thermostat. Take off the housing and remove the thermostat. Place the thermostat in a pan of water on the stove and heat the water. Watch the thermostat. If it does not open when the water gets hot it is defective.

I need a diagram of the location of the thermostat in a 1996 Dodge Caravan

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine. This is where the thermostat housing is located. Remove the bolts and take out the thermostat. When you get your new thermostat, get one from Autozone with a jiggle valve. The jiggle valve should be oriented near the top of the housing (the thermostat is not perfectly round, you'll have to play with it a little to get it to seat). Install with the spring side facing the engine and the gasket on the engine side of the housing. You can use some spray adhesive to keep the gasket in place while you install the thermostat.
