2002 Audi TT will not turn over. Just started

Hi, when it started did it run with a high rev? I mean around 2000rpm and has a light come on on the dash?

If this is the case the car could have a faulty cam shaft sensor and the ECU will force the car into safe mode with high running revs and it is hard to start. It should be taken to a dealer in the first instance if you can get it started, if not get a mobile mancanic to do a VAG-COM test to clarify the fault, the test should be around £80.
