You may have a clogged heater-core or low fluid levels in the radiator if one of the hoses going into the core is hot and the other is cold then it is most likely clogged undo both lines and facing the one down so not to get splatted with it use a hose and with minor pressure wash the gooey obstruction out until it runs clean and clear and flows free or you may also have a bad water pump open the radiator cap and with the car running look to see if its full and flowing and circulating if low add fluid if its not flowing i would say the water pump but give it enough time to exchange from the block to the radiator and if flowing replace cap or risk getting burnt ...also it could be the heat coils are not giving any help there should be a plug wire going into the unit near the fan /air-box remove the 2 screws and see it it turns red hot when switched on and also use a test light to ensure power is getting to it

A/C will only blow through defrost vents

Common question on this site. On late model cars, the vents are controlled by blend door motors. Small electric motors open and close doors to direct air flow.
Chances are you have a blend door that is stuck or a failed motor.
The default position is the defrost to make sure the windshield is always clear.
Someone will need to look behind the dash to see if all of the doors will move on demand.

Most likly this van has seperate controls for driver and passenger heat and ac controls. If its blowing hot air your heat is working. These controls operate differant dampers that are electonicly controlled. If the dials arent working they would cause this problem.

1999 cadillac deville 4.6 heater blowing cold air, set temp at 90 degrees

Besure that you have enough coolant. Your engine has head bolt issues and this allows compression gases into the sooling system, and this pushes coolant out and the heater goes cold before the engine everheats.... VERY expensive to fix correctly. There is a test to determine if exhaust gases are in the cooling system...

The heater blows mostly cool to cold air when the heat is set at 90 degrees. Coolant has been flushed and thermostat replaced

You probably created an air bubble, lock in heater core or the hoses that brings hot water to it when the coolant was replaced, you need to flush the system by loosening the heater hose at the highest point while the engine is running and is up to temperature.

Ford ka heater blows hot air all the time

Your problem is a faulty heater control valve. The design used on these vehicles allows for hot water to flow constantly and compete with the evaporator as there is no blender door. You have to replace the valve and possibly the control head. Meanwhile, you can bypass the valve to have cold air
