The blower motor and AC works but the heater doesn't in a 2002 bonnieville Pontiac. I turn on the AC and it works fine. I switch over to the heat and it just blows cold air.

If your vehicle has the electronic climate control, it is probably the blend door motor/actuator that has failed and is stuck at the temp that was last entered in the climate control unit when it failed. this can be a very time consuming repair to do as it is under the dash. the other possibility is your coolant level is low and not allowing the heater core to bring the outside air up to the temp you want. if that is the case, your low coolant temp sensor should have come on. if not, then the thermostat could be either stuck open or closed. if stuck open the engine would not always show the temp gauge at normal operating temp of 195-200 degrees. if stuck closed the engine should be overheating according to the temp gauge. you did not mention what the operating coolant temp was!

2001 2500 dodge heater control

When you say everything is fine, did you check the blower motor for power and ground with a meter ? The blower motor gets power from the relay, and the resistor and control switch provides the ground circuit.

I have a Pontiac grand am 2004 model and the heater/AC doesn't start blowing until I turn the fan speed up to 4 on the dial what would cause this and how can I fix it?

In most cases it's the blower motor resistor. Below is a diagram of its location, the plug and how to remove it. Looking at the picture of the plug you will want to turn the fan switch to different settings (the ones that don't work as well) and if you are geting power to each of those conections at the plug but the blower motor isn't turning on, this will be your problem. If you are not geting power at the different speeds then it is either the switch or the wiring but like I said the blower motor resistor is common to go. I hope this helps and good luck.

Heater fan switch only works on high

could be the heater/ac controller head. This is the buttons and switches that you use or you have a bad heater blower. Check fuses and then the wire to the heater blower motor under the hood on the passenger side. Hope this helps

2000 grand prix fan speed

i have been having that same exact problem with my 2002 grand prix for over a year now, and when my ac is on the lower setting the it doesnt work plus the headlights and lights on my dash go out. On Max everything works. i changed the blower resistor(about $35), still doesnt work. i changed all relays and fuses related to the ac, still doesnt work. i changed out the actual ac control switch in the dash, still doesnt work. i have changed everything but the blower motor and have asked every mechanic and auto parts retailer i come across and no one knows the answer. The best answer i got is that it is probably a wiring problem like a short somewhere.

AC/Heater on 2002 Grand AM SE1 will only work on one speed

chk. to see if you got a heater resister, it should be somewhere in the visinty of the blower motor 2 screws hold it in the heater box and it will have 4 or 5 wires in a plug going to it. samething happend with my truck and thats what it was. i also found out sometimes that plug with the wires to the resister burn, if thats the case you will have to chg. that too.
