Remove glove box and housing, lower dash panel,unhook hoses going into fire wall,Remove covers for box,remove mounting bracket and wiggle it free. Instal in reverse order.

Likely the heater control valve for cabin air is failing but could be electrical switch/circuit that controls valve. Check control voltage at valve to isolate.

one is located on thermostant housing, the other one is locatad in heatercore assembly, but why would you be replacing the one in heatercore asm?

it sounds like your heatercore is cracked dose the windscreen fog up when on demist if so you need to replace the heatercore

Replacement of heatercore

I believe you have to dissassemble the lower part of the hvac unit under the dash to gain access to the heater core, then disconnect the hoses at the firewall and remove the heater core.
