Cold start takes a lot of starter cranking time but runs and drives fine. acts like it is not geting any fuel when trying to start.

Fuel pump = Check fuel pressure.
Also check the pressure regulator.

Try just turning the key over three times and listen for the fuel pump running without turning the motor over. Then on the fourth attempt let it try and start. If it starts then, replace psi regulator.

For a engine to start it needs three things all at the same time air,spark,fuel get some starter fluid take your air filter off and spray some in the intake if it acts like it wants to run then your car is not geting fuel

you need to replace the starter before it leaves you sitting stranded somwhere. intermittent problems with the starter means most of the time the starter is going out. for futher help call 419 689 1114 and i will be happy to assist you.

Try puting injector cleaner in ur tank.

Malfunctioning fuel system, Fuel injector[s] leaking
Check fuel pump,fuel pressure regulator/fuel filter also

check fuel pressure, try cycling the key to the on position an couple of times not the start position to cycle the fuel pump then try to start it. could be the cold start circuit. once its warm does it start easy ?

Try cam and/or crank sensor. If crank to cam timing isn't detected properly it'll crank all day but won't start. I had similar problem on my 2.5L V6 Avenger....drove home fine, no engine light, next morning it cranked, but wouldn't start. The crank sensor was faulty.

I know that a lot of starters will not start quickly and draw a lot of power if the engine is up to temp. Try a higher CCA battery (Cold Cranking Amp) Battery, your bat may be to low of a rating. If it has a remotely mounted solenoid, not on the starter. If it does it may be mounted somewhere that it gets to hot, relocate to a cooler portion of the engine bay.

check fuel pump relay/should run pump for two sec when key is turned on. try turning key on but dont crank did pump hum/if it did look towards leaky fuel inj./faulty pressure reg. poss clogged fuel filt.
