the cd skips When I put a new cd in, it begins at one then skips to much higher numbers. I have cleaned the cd. Used a laser cleaner disk and I do not know what else to do. Am very frustrated.
I have dried other cd in the player, same thing happenes.

The "read-ahead" memory cache is too short.
Not much you can do, short of replacing the player; however:
Does your CD player support playing MP3's?
Convert your Audio music CD's to MP3.
The same audio music is "smaller" in MP3 format than audio format. More of the song can fit in the memory cache so it is less likely to "run out" of mermory and skip.
