Is this a diesel? If so it could be fuel filters because that is classic signs of a fuel filter needing changed.

- I agree with the comment about the fuel pressure regulator. It is supposed to retain the pressure in the fuel line but must not be closing tight enough so it allows the fuel to siphon back towards the tank. One thing you can try is when you go to start the car, turn the key on without cranking it and waiting for about 5 seconds, turn it off and repeat that 2-3 more times and then try to start the car.Yes
