What kind of oil and filter is needed for this car

For the 3100 (3.1 litre) 6 cyl. engine, use a Fram 3387 or compatible cross-reference oil filter. I also use K&N's HP-1001. Call it fate or American patriotism, but I have 4 vehicles that use that same filter, I buy them by the lot on the internet whenever I can. Here's a tip for that model: remove the wingnut on the front shroud, under the front end of the car, passenger side, to allow the oil filter to be removed easily (and sometimes sloppy if you're not holdin' your mouth right). Otherwise, it just won't fit downward past those A/T lines and going up is impossible.
