Hello! You're problem could likely be a problem with the TPMS, or (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) - sensor. There is one in each wheel, and it's recommended that with any tire changes that they be rebuilt or replaced. I'm not sure if you've reset the tire pressure switch or not, but if you haven't and aren't familiar, the button is located inside the glove box. With the car on, press the button for 3-5 seconds and release. Turn the car off, and then back on and your light should be off.

Hope this helps and good luck! Thanks for using FixYa!

Sometimes they need to be reset. It might tell you in your owners manual how to reset it or you could drive to your local dealer and he could do it for you.

Good Luck

I lost the owner's manual of 2008 scion tc. This flower vase shape light with exclamatioin point in the middle just came on. What does it mean?

It sounds like the tire pressure monitor warning light. Does the light look like this?
c64c8b9.jpgCheck and adjust the pressure in all the tires (most Toyotas even monitor the spare tire pressure so check that also). If you find one tire with significantly lower air pressure then the rest bring the car to a repair shop to have them find and repair the leak. Once the air in the tires are correct the light will go off.

Tire pressure light comes on

You shouldn't be setting the tire pressure to the max inflation pressure listed on the sidewall, that will likely result in uneven tire wear with the center of the tire wearing out prematurely. You should set the pressures according to the listings in the door jam. Most likely 32-34psi. Also, have you checked the spare tire? Some systems monitor and will illuminate the TPMS light if the spare tire pressure isn't within an acceptable range. The spare is often overlooked when checking tire pressures because of a TPMS indicator.

Looks like horseshoe with exclamation point

Indicates your tire pressure is less then 32 psi on one or more of your tires. Once you have all your tire pressure at 32 PSI, the car's TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) will recalibrate and reset. Once reset the light should go off if all tire pressure are the same.
Thank you for using FIxya and good luck

What does it mean if the tire light stays on in an 06 scion tc, after you have checked the tire pressure and reset the light

the light means that there is still a problem with the tire system, if there is a spare make sure to check that. If the light is still on after setting all tire pressures then there is most likely one of your tire pressure sensors bad which is the valve stem if equipped. What you can try is pump all tire pressures up to about 45 psi, then qiuckly let the air out one tire at a time. This kinda wakes up the system. If this doesn't solve it then you will have to take it to the dealer.

It's the tire pressure warning light, you need to check your tire pressure on all of your tires.

2005 Scion Tc - Tire Pressure

it should be what the door says... but make sure the door is showing the size of tires that are on the vehicle... tire pressures are usually determined by an engineer for that vehicle and tire size
Also what does the sideway of the tire say ?
