Check your fuse box, look on the diagram and locate the fuse (10 amp most likely) for the auto trunk. The clicking is the relay, it also operates the keylees entry for the doors.

Good luck

What's keeping my trunk from shutting?

Fuses work or they don't, continuity or not. If it's bad, it is burnt out and not giving voltage, it doesn't work.

When you press the button to open the trunk, a solenoid pulls the catch, and the trunk opens and the catch remains open.

When you press down on the truck lid, the catch base is pressed mechanically and it locks shut.

Your issue is almost certainly 'Adjustment', the catch isn't going down low enough when you press or slam.

Open the trunk, use a screwdriver in the slot to close the catch. Get someone to open the trunk release and watch it open. It it does, it works. You need to slacken off the bolts on the catch or the keeper plate and move it closer.

Oh look, a RECALL!

2013 Ford Focus trunk latch recall Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2017 Ford Focus hatchback vehicles manufactured February 14, 2012, to August 26, 2016 and equipped with a manual transmission. What is the fuse number for opening the trunk?

It is not the fuse, the click indicates the system has power, the latch must be sticking.

Heyyi have an 2004 ford focus and i cant unlock my trunk so i was needing to know how to get in the bak seat

Question is why cant you unlock trunk? Ok in the focus on the inside of the trunk you have the unlock for the seats which would mean that you would need to be able to open trunk. So maybe i can help you figure your trunk out. Get me more info on why cant you use a key and if the button on the dash works to pop trunk or not. I will be more than happy to help.

The truck button on the dash does not open the trunk. how can it be fixed? does it have a fuse for it ? i do not even hear a click when pushing the button. 2000 ford focus..i have never been able to use...

I made a video on how I fixed that problem on my 2003 Ford Focus. I show how I had to clean the button and where I found some wires going to the latch had cracked insulation.

My trunk lid will not open on my 2005 nissan sentra. The remote not opening (do hear it click) and the inside button and key not working to open the trunk either

Just beneath the latch ,you can see a clip, turn it up and close the trunk.Try opening it with the button near dash or remote. It should work. They designed it to avoid theft during vallet parking. The main key(steel one) is used only for ignition. There is another key(with a black rubber head) is for ignition and trunk. So if you want to avoid missing any items from trunk using vallet parking, use the main key,put the clip down and hand that to the person who is assisting you during vallet parking.

The key for my ford focus will not open the hood of my car to they have another release button that i can use

I've not heard of the key fob buttons being able to open the hood. The trunk, yes, but not the hood. There should be a release knob inside th car.

Trunk lock wont open

if you do hear the click noise then that means your trunk is now unlocked. Try giving it as much force as you can while someone else is hitting the trunk release, your hinges for your trunk are probably hung up on something.
