Re: 93 toyota 4wd makes loud noise when i push the clutch...
You may have a "throwout bearing" problem. the mechanic is WRONG. you will need to take the trans out and most likely replace the clutch components but the problem is not in the trans.

clutch ,slave ,throw out bearing going bad --transmission shaft bearing --bad gear --but would look into clutch since you have o push to floor to have noise stop
most likely the throw out bearing is at fault. when you push the clutch a spinning bearing pushes the clutch plate away from the flywheel disengaging trans so you can switch gears. the transmission has to come away from the engine to fix it.
Sounds like a bad Throw Out Bearing.. Needless to say.. it has to be repaired.
Depending on mileage.. may as well replace the clutch/pressure plate.. and have he flywheel looked at.. change the tranny oil.. check the u joints.. rear end etc..
Sounds like the fluid coupler inside the transfer case failed. In my opinion using those is a great idea on paper but they just do not last as well as the older direct engagement units used in Cherokees and wranglers. I own many Jeeps and will not have a GC for that one reason. The transfer case needs to be removed and rebuilt. There is no external repair or temporary fix.
If there is only one click when you go into first or reverse. Then look at the linkage on the clutch pedal. If you push the clutch pedal down and up (without putting it into gear) does it still make the click sound? Is the transmission going into gear normal? Is the throw-out bearing making any noise? A throw-out bearing can make a loud click noise.
Almost sounds like a throwout bearing problem. Either way, bring the car back and make them fix it. It will be covered under the warranty so dont let them try to convince you otherwise.
Bad bearings. Perhaps a throw out bearing. The pressure on it varies depending on whether your pushing on the pedal or not, and how much. If the noise occured only when the truck is moving, then I would say it is the input bearing. Changed alot of those years ago.
chances are the adjustment of the throwout bearing fork is the problem . because of vibration that is the rattling that you are hearing. correct adjustment should be as follows.
#1...peddle travle should be no more than 1 1/2 inches
#2...the clearance between throw out bearing and fork no more than 1/2 inch
#3...clearance between fork and fork stops is 1/8 inch
also there should be grease zerts in the shaft that holds the fork and linkage make sure they are not dry of grease...please rate the solution....thanks
