mk 5 escort radiator fans not working, looking for a wiring diagram

- just to clarify, fans work when bypassed, temperature senders checked (one in head & one in radiator hose), these are fine, I suspect there is a broken wire somewhere (or a faulty plug connector) so I'd like a wiring diagram to trace it out, I could just buy a Haynes manual but I had hoped to find a diagram one on the web
if BOTH are not working.... then it could be the temperature sensor that is screwed into the radiator. You can verify the fans are good (or bad) by putting a ground on the sensor wire (I use a safety pin and push it into the insulation - then touch it to ground.
C A U T I O N: The fans should start immediately - so keep your fingers clear!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha i have had this problem with both of my cars but yet ive only had one fan...the issue with my car was it losing a ground on the primary relay. If it were the sensor A fan should come on with A/C engaged, and/or high temp reading a faulty sensor would still pick it up and turn the fans on high. my problem was a faulty ground on the primary relay. the one under the hood in the engine fuse block. (the one marked "HEAD") i dont kno why but thats the fan relay when it loses a ground it just wont work. on both of these vehicles i just wired a new ground to a solid clean surface or to the batt directly. Then they will work as they are supposed to.

The ignition is too short. The locksmart ignition for the ford escort hatchback is probably a millimeter or so too short. I can't seem to find one that fits. Does locksmart make one or do I have to order the part from ford.
