Yes quite possible you may have blown another fuse too--- if the wirings are grounded somewhere get it checked.and yes the car wont start until you change the fuse.also check that the fuse inserion socket is not rusted.if its rusted just clean it properly before putting in new fuse.

thanks, keep updated and please rate the solution positively

Cranks but wont start

Someone will need to check the circuit at the pump to see if it is getting power from the relay. If it is the pump should be running when you first turn the key on.
You can also check for power at the pump relay.

2008 corvette engine wont crank

Hello there:
if every thing was ok befor the dash issue / air bag than i would go back and check to see if there was any wires that were possiably cut or ground out or pinched got dissconnected. under the dash or in the engine compartment or a fuse might have gotten removed or blew. during reassembly
If you know someone that has the handheld diagnostic unit i would have them do a scan on the vehical and see if any codes pop up this will help you determine exactly what is wrong also ok?
I hope that his has been very helpfull for you
best regards michael

Blows fuse wont start

More than likely its being caused by a short-circuit to ground in the wiring in your Cranking Circuit.

If it blows the fuse immediately after installing the fuse, its probably a hot-wire. If it blows it the second you try to crank it over, its probably one of the wires between your ignition and the Starter Relay.

To track down the bad wire you'll need a Wiring Schematic for the vehicle and either a Digital Volt/Ohm-Meter or Test-Light and a basic understanding of wiring which is... honestly a little hard to explain over the internet. However, that is the only course that can be taken without taking the vehicle to a qualified Dealership Technician.
