Question about 2004 Dodge Intrepid

2 Answers

Just yesterday my car started making an unusual noise. It is a 2004 dodge intrepid se 2.7ltr I took it to the mechanic who said it was my pass side cooling fan motor. He wanted to charge me 900 bucks to fix it. I researched the parts online and they run from 90-120 bucks. The problem I am having is that I don't quite know how the shroud is marked as to which part to order. Is there a way to find this out without them charging me 120 just to find out. And is this an easy fix that I can fix at home? It looks as easy as just replacing the fan motor. Thanks for any and all help!

An electrician can check if it's ur fans that don't work or maybe you can check that yourself. i have a 98 3.2 intrepid and i had the same problem but both fans worked perfect. the main problem was the sensors had messed up as soon as they replaced the sensors my fans kicked in.

When you say won't start do you mean it will crank over but not fire off or do you mean it doesn't' turn over at all? We refer to this a "No crank no start" or "Cranks will not start"

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE and the check engine light has been on for several days. I took it to Auto Zone and they plugged in their tester. They gave me the following codes - P1776 and P0700. Please...

P0700 code is a generic code for Transmission Control System Malfunction

P1776 code means your solenoid switch valve is stuck in low reverse. (DTC 47) A stuck solenoid switch valve is a common occurrence in the valve body of the Dodge 41te transmission.

The first step would be to check the wiring to the solenoid from the TCM, then maybe try a new solenoid pack if the wiring is determined to be fine.

HOW DO YOU GET TO THE BATTERY TO CHANGE IT IN A 2004 INTREPID

Under the hood should be a Jump start /charging post that is connected to the battery. Look on the pass side for rubber caps that cover a brass post. Hook up your charger here, Red is positive, Black is the ground side or just hook the ground to any solid metal part of the engine.

Dodge intrepid front right wheel makes noise and mechanics sugges

Well, I can't see the tie rods so I can't help you there. But, if someone placed just one lug nut on the wheel then it probably elongated the slots on the other four holes for the studs. This would make the wheel junk and would need to be replaced. This probably ruined all the threads on the studs also. You are very lucky you did not have an accident related to the wheel. I wish I could see the vehicle, but can't help unless I know the situiation and condition of suspension parts.
