Question about 1994 Acura Integra
Any trick to getting the oil fliter off? Is there a special wrench? Just bought 94 Acura Integra
The best tool i have ever used are Jaw Pliers. About $10 form your local hardware store.
They get a really good grip and can get any oil filter i have tried off.
If you are having heaps of trouble shifting it even with the jaw pliers you may need to break the seal of the filter to remove it.
The best way to do this is to get a screw driver and a hammer and punch a hole into the oil filter while it is attached (make sure you do it away from the base and close to the edge so that you don't damage the actual pipe coming out of the engine)
Also be careful when you do this as oil is most likely going to come out of the hole and all over you.
Once the hole is in and the oil drained stick the jaw pliers back ona nd you will be able to get it off straight away.
