Question about 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt
GM needs to do a recall. My daughters 2005 Cobalt LS power steering randomly goes out. Dealer fixed once and I kicked up such a fuss after reading about all the problems that GM agreed to cover half of the $800 charge to fix it (i am out of warranty). The fix did not work, they are repairing with the same faulty equipment. GM did not do a good job with electric power steering and they need to figure it out and do a recall. We should not have to pay for thier failures!
You are 100% right. I have a 2004 avalanche that they want to charge me $250 to replace the intermiediate shaft when they recalled up to 2003 avalanches for this. I was told they thought they had it fixedin 04 but didint, no recall will be issued because it is not a safety issue.
I bought a 2000 Ford and a 1998 Lincoln several years ago, No more GM for me if thats the best they can do. It sure is nice to only have to go to the shop for oil changes.
