Question about 2000 Jaguar S-Type
This may be caused by a failing door solenoid. Try cycling it open/closed quickly several times with the key, if this improves it - it may be a sticky lock OR a failing solenoid, Try listening at each door in turn to see if you can hear a difference in locking noise.
