Take the wheels off the front,,remove the 2 bolts holding the brakes caliper to the caliper mount and pull off the caliper, then remove the old pads by popping them out, and the remove the 2 bolts holding the caliper mounting bracket to the hub and then remove the rotor,,,to either resurface it,,or replace it with a new one,,,the put the rotor back on(new one) install the mounting bracket and pads and press the caliper piston in with a pliers and then put it back onto the mounting bracket and then tighten all bolts, and do the other side,,pump up brakes and youre good to go

SOURCE: i need to change front brake pads

You have two bolts to remove the caliper (it will still be attached to the flex hose). then use a C clamp to compress the caliper piston (one side on outside brake pad the other end on the back of the caliper). Inspect other components, replace pads and reinstall. I would highly recommend replacing rotors as well or at least having them turned. Its a pretty easy job if you have done similar jobs in the past.

Two more cases of 2008 town and country brake wear

Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler minivans are notorious for poor longevity of the front brake pads. Also, the low friction material "squeel" tabs are none to brake off or just not do the job they are meant to do. That is why people end up haveing to replace their rotors. I am an ASE certified mechanic with just under 15 years of experience. I tell all my customers with Chrysler minivan products to have their brakes at least once a year to avoid costly repair bills. If you can catch your brake pads before they start grinding into the rotors that's an expense everyone can afford to not have.

Town & Country 2007 LX model aircondition not working

It does have air conditioning installed. It may also have rear a/c. The rear a/c evaporator is probably leaking freon. I have replaced many rear evaporators on 2006 and 2007 Chrysler minivans as a result of a design change in 2006. Recharge the a/c and add dye to the system. If it has rear air, look behind the right rear wheel in the fender area under the car where the a/c lines go into the body.
