It should come off but you gotta remove the a/c compressor from the car and pull it off with a puller tool , they are pressed on,,,,i would just advise to get a new a/c compressor, get a aftermarket one they are alot cheaper than the factory ones,,,,i dont think youll get it off while its in the car,,,

Not good if it makes a grinding noise. Needs a tech or replacement as something most likely has come loose inside the transmission.

Belt on air cond. keeps making noise when you accerate is i the adjustment pully or the air cond.

The A/C and other accessories are run by a "serpentine" belt that is not adjustable. It may be stretched or worn out and needs replacing. I try to use "gatorback" belts when they are available as they seem to grip the best and last the longest.

Belt came off 2001 dodge caravan how do you release tension

there is a tension pully on the top of the left side that the belt has to go under. put an open-end box wrench (15mm, i believe) on the bolt for the pully and pull it towards you. it's spring loaded, so be careful that the wrench doesn't slip. as you pull it with your right hand, tuck the belt under it with your left (after, of course, it's around all of the other pullys). let the tension pully loose slowly, and there you go!
