If the light comes on when the vehicle is started without moving then you might have an open circuit on a abs sensor, possibly on the side where the a arm was replaced,if the light doesnt come on until you start moving then its a spacing problem between the sensor and the tone ring, either way it should be scanned to see which sensor is throwing the code and will make it alot easier to diagnose, your local shop should be able to pull a code for you unless you have access to a scanner.the traction system will not work if there is an abs issue, hope this helps

ABS, Traction Control, EAS Light

Probably not, but they are related to each other. Each system uses components of the other systems to function. So if one system fails the others can not work right.
Have the body computer scanned for trouble codes to proceed with testing.

The ABS light comes on, and sure enough on slipery road conditions, there's no ABS. BUT when it's icy, the ABS light on the dashboard goes out, and checking to see if I have ABS, sure enough I do. It's...

the abs warning light also works with the electronic traction control, (or traction control, same system, different names) and when icy, stops the wheels from spinning, above about 15 mph.(the abs dont work under 5mph) so if im right regarding your question, your car is doing what its supposed to,stopping the driving wheels from spinning/locking up.the warning light comes on when one or the other is doing its job.(working).the trick is to drive so that the warning light doesnt come on..... boring.

Transmission Traction "Off" light stays lit with Traction button

The traction control system is controlled through the Anti-lock brake system. The way it works is if one of your wheels starts spinning the ABS applys the brake to that wheel to transfer power to the oppsite wheel that is getting traction. If your ABS is bad then your Traction control won't work. To check it I would find a parking lot on a wet day. In an open space mash in the gas. if you hear the ABS system kick in and you don't squall the tires then your good. My guess is you won't. What I would be worried about is will my ABS work. When checking the traction control is a good time to check the ABS. Acclerate to around 15 mph, then mash the brake as your live depended on it. If you hear a motor run and feel a vibration or grind in the brake peddal, then it works.
