Removal & Installation

  1. Remove the radio knobs and anti-rattle springs.
  2. Remove the two hex nuts securing the bezel to the radio.
  3. Remove the two center air conditioning outlet grilles. Remove the one screw in each outlet.
  4. Remove the maplights and remove the center panel insert.
  5. Unbolt and remove the radio from the panel.
  6. Disconnect wiring.
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Radio sound problems

What kind of problems are you having? Is it static? Are the problems just with radio stations or with cd/tape player? Is it after market radio or is it a stock system? Does it even turn on? Give me a little more information and I can help you for sure.

I took the stock radio out and installed an after market CD player and now the AC blows hot air please help

You probably accidentally pulled a vacuum hose off behind the radio. I have a ranger and did that with my truck putting in a radio.

I purchased a after market cd player for my 2003 denali and it won't produce any sound

You may have a stock amplfier in that truck that wont jive with the new radio, check with radio manufacturer or vendor where you got the radio.

1988 bmw 325si manufacture radio is missing but wiring cluster is intact apparently. Do i have to have a stock radio replacement or can i install a cd player deck without causing problems???

Generally you any after market radio can be installed into any car. You might have to cut the original wiring connector but basically all you need to hook up a basic radio/cd player is a positive and a ground wire. That's what powers the radio/cd player. Next all you need to do is hook up the speaker wires the unit. One other option is to check out ebay for a used radio/cd player. You will do better getting a radio that does not have an anti-theft feature. If it has an anti-theft feature you will have to enter a code to make it work.

My cd player has stopped working in my 2004 odyssey - it reads "disc error"

Try the basic first, go and pick up one of Maxell CD-AUTO Automotive CD Lens Cleaner and see if this might solve the problems. When a factory cd player give an error basically it become inoperative/faulty and it will be difficult fix it your self unless you some some electronics background and the have the radio schematic. Its not worth fixing by sending to your local electronics repair shop unless you attached to it. All electronics tend to fail soon or later and some has better luck than others. After market radio will be as good or better than your stock radio. Keep in mind, the radio in your vehicle is mass produced cheap, saving the auto manufacture allot of money. You can look on ebay which list from 80 bucks to 140 dollars for stock replacement radio fairly cheap and I don't recommend getting it from the dealer which they will charge you 500-600 bucks for new one.
Hope that help some

Iam tring to put a after market cd player in my 1996 suburban and i dont know which wires go were

If there is not a wiribg diagram on the back of the stock radio, open the radio up by taking the top case off and a wiring diaggram should be on one of the inside panels of the radio to give you the color codes.
