Battery connection - someplace.
Check battery terminals. Check other end of Red battery wire.
Be sure connections are tight and clean...
Then take it to Autozone and have them look at it!!

You may have a discharged battery or corroded connections/cables. Measure the battery voltage on the posts while someone tries to start the car. If the voltage drops badly, recharge the battery overnight. If the voltage stays at 12 volts, measure at the battery connections and try to start. If the voltage falls, the post to connector contact is bad--remove the connectors, clean with a wire brush (made for the job) and reassemble. Try to start again. Hope this gets you running.

Sounds like your starter/starter solenoid is bad....you can have it tested for free at any part store.

Turn your key on. Do not try to start the engine. Leave the key on for 10 minutes, until the security light stops flashing. Turn off the key when the light stops flashing. Then, turn on the key and crank the engine. It will start.

Won't stay running

Crank positions sensor might be broke due to collision. Sensor is on the front of the engine at the crank cover. It is what tells the coil pack as to what cylinder to fire in, since the newer engines start on any cylinder instead of only No. 1.

Chevy cobalt cranks but wont run above 10 mph

I doubt the security system would cause the problem.
Most systems prevent the starter from working as well as the fuel pump or injectors.
And once the starter cranks the engine it should not be involved.

I have a 2006 chevy cobalt ss and the several times over the past 3 years I go out to start my car and it will not crank. Pop started it and took it to shop and they found the fuse under hood to starter...

Sounds like your starter solenoid is sticking or the ignition switch to keep the starter engaged rotating the engine. First change out your starter solenoid should solve the problem also the starter may be pulling to many amps and blowing the fuse simply because the starter is bad and is going out. Take the starter off take it to autozone have it amp tested or load tested you may find this is your problem from the beginning..Remember to rate my solution thanks in advance

My car wont start. Battery and alternator are ok. The starter is firing but when I turn the key it rapidly clicks. All the fuses are good. There was no sign of anything going wrong. I drove it to work in...

If the engine makes a clicking sound when you cranck it up with the starter then the news aren't good: this sound is made when either the timing of the spark is totally off or, even worse, when the distribution chain broke and the pistons are hitting the valves. In both cases this is a major malfunction, the engine should not be run again.
The first thing you should do is to remove the valve cover (a few bolts) and see if all the parts, starting with the chain, are intact. If they are you will have to connect a code reader to extract the error codes - they will tell you more precisely what happened. Once you will know that you will need to check and replace if necessary the defective sensors.

2007 chevy cobalt I went through water wont start

You're hydrolocked. Pull the sparkplugs out and crank the engine for 30-60 secs. there is a VERY GOOD CHANCE you could have done some major internal damage. Be prepared to replace your engine, but this might work.
