Sounds like a short circuit in your multi-function switch or in the associated wiring harness. Does this happen EVERY time, or intermittently?

Blinker not working

Check the bulb and the grounds first, then the blinker relay. Some on older cars are routed through the floor dimmer switch so check that also

1988 buick regal stalls and restarts stalls and restarts

Sounds like a relay or coil failing.
To proceed you would need to find out if you are loosing spark to the plugs or fuel pressure to the injectors when it won't start.

My car stalls while driving and i can smell burning plastic and the left blinker blinks fast and both bulbs are new

for the signals check the flasher, put a new one in if you have the same problem then make sure grounds are good to those lamp sockets, the stalling i would start with the battery cable that goes to relay box under hood, common problem with those, the cable going to the box heat up melting the plastic around connection, making car stall and sometimes not starting depending on how bad it is. well start ther, good luck hope this helps.

1996 Buick Regal. Blinker Issues

I know it sounds strange but I would first check the bulbs and then check the hazard switch. The hazard switch is also the flasher unit. It fails and there are alot of stsange sinarios.

I hope this helps,

Brake lights are not coming on.

Had this on a 97 Buick Regal. It was in the steering column. New blinker arm, from junk yard fixed it. On a lincoln (ford), you may get lucky and have a switch either on the brake pedal or some cars have it on the master cylinder.(older ones) A large amount of problems on any car, (electrical) are ground related. Check fuses first. Connections between trunk and car, also. This car is really a Jag in disguise.LB
