Well, congrats on a great vehicle!
Suggest that you get a cheap volt meter at Harbor Freight (about 3 bucks) and then check the current draw at the battery (with everything off, pull the positive cable and place the voltmeter (set on DC Current/Amps) between the cable and the battery.
What current level does it show? More than about 200MA is a problem (you need to be sure that the internal door lights are off!!)
You can set the meter on the hood so that you can see it from inside the vehicle... Then, with everything off, and the voltmeter set as described above, pull a fuse and look at the meter. Repeat the "fuse pulling" exercise until the meter reads about 0 MA draw. That is the circuit that is causing the problem.... NOW you can troubleshoot a simple item or set of items.... until the problem is fixed.
To keep the battery charged overnite, keep the fuse pulled until the problem is fixed.

2005 FORD FREESTYLE THAT HAS NEW BATTERY, CABLES STARTER AND ALTERNATOR. BUT DOES NOT STAY CHARGED

What do you mean won't stay charged ? Battery dies while driving , dies over night ? Is the battery symbol lit on the dash , check charging system message on driver info center ? If it drains over night there is a parasitic draw on the electrical system ! If while driving the battery goes dead it's not charging , with a new alternator the problem is in the electrical circuitry . Blown fusible link or fuse . This charging system is controlled by the PCM - engine computer , the heavier gage wire on the back of the alternator should have battery voltage , if not blown fusible link near the battery . The connector with three wires ,one should have B+ voltage , the other two come from the PCM .

DEAD BATTERY OVERNIGHT

Try to unplug ground wire at night and plug in in the morning.
If the battery is good, then it must be there's short circuit, check your wiring.
If the battery is dead, then the battery is bad.

Short in wire from battery to starter or cylenoid? sometimes it will turn over other times not

I had my ford 91 ranger checked and both were good, plus alternator was in the green? But kept killing batteries and would not start without a jump. I replaced solenoid, starter, and battery. Finally removed the alternator and the BRUSHES were making contact just enough to keep my truck running, but when lights or any other accessory was used the truck would quit. New alternator and starts every time and can run all accessories without problem. Check the brushes on the alternator.

Does not seem that there is any electrical current. Checked all the fuses, they are fine. It doesn't seem like a battery problem as there is absolutely no current. Drove it last night everything worked. ...

Is the battery dead? Your alternator may be bad. If you drove it last night you may have driven on battery power and not realized it. You should have gotten some kind of warning message. Need to know if the battery is dead.

I just checked you do indeed have a timing belt.
Sounds like the problem, worth the cost and time to change the water pump as well since your digging into the front of the engine anyway.
The tensioner should be good for another 100,000 miles

1988 Ford Ranger truck, new battery and new

Of coarse it does. The battery was probably okey. The Alternator has nothing to do, with starting a vehicle, but the solenoid on the starter does.
Pull the starter and put on a new solenoid.
