Try changing the coolant sensor, check wiring to fans good, and also the fan relay.

Blower motor not working on 4 1998 Mazda protege

check for power and ground at the blower motor. if this is good then hit motor. if it starts the motor needs replacing. then check the fuse then the fan speed switch for power and ground going to the switch and coming out of switch.

If the 30amp blower fuse has power, and you can run power to the blower motor and it runs, I would say its the blower relay or the control switch on the dash. The control switch provides power to turn the blower relay on. The fan switch provides the ground circuit.

Heater blower fan is not working.. fan was just replaced

Make sure the blower motor is grounded. It's mounted in a plastic case. Check the fuse. Check for power at the blower motor wire terminal with key and blower switch on. If there is none check the resistor. If there is no power there you'll have to go back to the switch.

Heater blower stopped working?

Hello,
You may want to try your fan on all speeds. If it will work on high, you have a bad resistor for the fan motor. ( high speed doesn't go through the resistor ).
If it doesn't work on any speed, I would check the following;
1. Make sure the fuse isn't blown for the fan blower motor.
2. Check, or have checked the wires between the fan control switch and the fan blower motor.
3. Have the fan control switch checked.
4. Have the fan blower motor checked.

I hope this helps you.

Blower motor not working at all,,the fuse is good and the fan blows if i jump it to the battery

HI Get a test lamp. With blower control switch on high ,remove power wire from blower motor, see if you have power at wire ,if not check for power at blower resister which is mounted next to fan motor. You should have power on two wires, one coming from switch the other going to fan.If you have power going to resister ,the resister is bad ,if no power to resister, switch has a problem Good Luck

ON A 2001 CHEVY MALIBU THE BLOWER FAN ONLY WORKS ON SPEEDS 4,5 .... 1,2,3 DONT WORK, FUSES ARE FINE

The blower fan uses a multi segment resister to control the fan speed, it is generally mounted just under the blower in the ducting. The reason 1,2 and 3 are not working is, sections of the resister is burnt out. The lower speeds are the first ones to go since they get hotter due the higher load in soaking the unused power. Resister is around $20. look for blower resister.

Replaced the fan resistor on 2000 chevy malibu this summer. Worked fine but recently the blower won't work on any speed.

this could be a bad blower or the switch to blower, check at blower fan for power if no power it is most likely the switch.if there is power on all speeds then the blower is bad. check all fuses to verify.

My panel fans for AC and Heat don't work. I have

Check the switch it self first and then check the wire connectors to the blower motor to make sure there is power there. If there is power to the blowers, then it's going to be a bad blower motor and would need to be replaced before winter. Good luck and if you go to Auto Zone you can buy the replacement blower there far less then the dealer and get the step by step instructions free of charge to replace the blower with common tools.

Auto Repair: Fan switch or blower, how do I determine which is bad?

there is a thing called a blower motor resistor that controls the fan on cars these days. they are usually in the air box. check with a dealer for your car. its easy to change.
