Question about Volkswagen Beetle

I was driving down the road and all of the sudden the service lights all came on at once and the 1999 volkswagen began to sputter and die...i started it back up and it sputters but still accelerates slowly but when i take my foot off the gas it dies again...now the blower fan to the ac and heat does not work

    all of the sercice lights blinked on atb the same time and the only one that stays on now is the ses light and it blinks sometimes and sometimes it just stays on solid....no other lights come on noe but the service light...they all only blinked in unison that once before it started to sputter

    thank you I will....wondering though could it be the head gasket....I managed to drive it home another thirty three miles after the problem started

    u can rate me whatever way u choose but to fix this you must have the dealer test the electronic control module for fault codes to determine the cause of this failure.

The major problem is the engine not running. Rest are because of that. If there is fuel reaching the cylinders and there is current in the spark plug the engine should run smoothly. When the engine sputters means that there is most likely less fuel reaching the cylinders, accelerates and dies when you release the accelerator paddle. So, please check the fuel supply. The pump could be bad or the fuel line may be blocked (partially). Check the spark in the plugs. It should be blue spark jumping between the lead and the plug. Check the gap of the spark plug. Fan and AC will run fine when the car is running smoothly.

Air bag light is flashing. Car then sputters


It is a short in one of the ignition wire, car start, and while drive wire get hot and in
short circuit, drain the battery and posible burn the diodes in the alternator.
Identify wire and replace

2002 VW Jetta died while driving it.


Either you threw a belt or the alternator went bad. Your symptoms sound like alternator...you were running on the battery till you ran out of power.

Starting fine, driving fine, but dies while going down the road


Next time disconnect the negative and not the positive if it ever happens again. This happened due to the PCM needing to be reset.
