If you are talking about the power sliding doors then look on the inside of the door/door jam for a plastic black square bracket with 2 rows or spring loaded pins that are shiny metallic that when the door is shut make contact with a same sized piece that has metal contacts the pins go up against. Take steel wool or sandpaper and shine up both the pins and where they come in contact with the door jam. I'm betting you shine them up your problem is solved.

Good Luck

Have hyundai i20 hatchback 2012 model having problem with central

If recently I would take it back. I don't know what they did to fix your door. I do know that if some one just made it work, it could, and usually does, create other problems. Only way to tell is to remove the panel and see what the did. If they added wire or sliced to make it work. This has to repaired first, then replace the part that really is broken. I see it all the time.

My brake lights only work when i pull back on turn signal switch why

Good job on the fault isolation!
The left and right brake light wiring goes through the multi-function lever on that car.
When the lever's internal positioning device is not working properly, an external device can be installed that in some caes will do the same job.
Since you have confirmed that your car is a likely candidate for this 50 cent repair, try this:

The space between the lever and the forward edge of the steering column shroud is of no use, so you can fill that space with something that will apply rearward pressure on the lever thereby maintaining switch contact. See picture (1000 words). I used a piece of rubber hose, cut it to length, and sliced it lengthwise. Then I slid he sliced hose into position and used adhesive to hold it in place. Put some lube on it if you want. For my car, it has worked that way for years.
Good luck!

The windows on my ford explorer 2000 xlt dont want work up or down

Just a suggestion but after checking fuses and relays (relays can be interchanged from 'like' relays) check wires between drivers door and the door jam, pulling the boot out to do so or slicing it carefully.
Replace unit in drivers door with one from scrap yard, find stuff at or .ca here in Canada.
Some suggestions to resolve your issue.

Check your fuse, it will be listed in your owners manual. I have seen the wires break where they go through the fender firewall to the drivers door. It is encased in a rubber boot. Test with ohms meter that you have power coming to the main switch on drivers door first. If no power and fuse is good, cut a slice length wise in the boot too verify wires are not broke. Probably a fuse though. Good Luck, Jerrod

Electric windows on my '98 Olds Intrigue don't work. What are the most likely reasons for this malfunction? I have no idea where to start.... Thank you.

Check inside the drivers door, where the wires go to the body.
Have so slice a **** in the rubber boot to see the wires.
Often from the drivers door being opened and closed the most, the wires at that point will break,if it's the feed wire none of the windows will work.Kinda tight there but you can repair them with a crimp connector.

The passenger side power window on 1988 crown vic will not go up. when you push button on the drivers side or the passenger side it makes no noise at all .

check the wires inside the drivers door ,where they go from the door to the body, slice the rubber cover to see. often they will break from the drivers door being opened and closed so many times.

I have a 2001 Chevy Suburban 2001. the driver

Usually this problem is solved by opening the driver's door & looking for a broken wire. This wire usually breaks at the flex point of the harness between the door & frame. Carefully slice outer coating revealing hidden wires. The broken one is the culprit. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Install left window motor

I just did this on my Tuscani yesterday, :-)
Once you have the working motor in your hand,
Work with the car stoped and with the windows up.
Get the inside door-panel off ( ), cut a slice (that you will put some duc-tape on it after) the inside plastic to get to the 2 covers in hard plastic and remove them, just have to pull on them with your hand.
Remove the 3 bolt that hold the motor (put you hands by the 2 hole where was the plastic covers and feel the motor. Once the 3 bolt off, nothing will pop/spring-out/or unmount by itself. With your left hand, take the motor and manage to get it down to where the lower plastic cover was and you can twist it for you to see the other side of the motor because you have two philips screw to get off. Before separating the 2 parts after getting off the 2 screw, check realy good how it goes with the old and the new motor. get them apart and put the new one like the old one was, put the 2 screw back, untwist and put back in place, bolt on back the 3 nuts, replace the plastic cover, replug the electric cable. Put duct-tape on the slice you made or if you have a all new plastic pit it on, re install the inside panel of the door with the cables connected and test your new windows.

Passenger window dont work and the motor is just fine but isnt getting any power

check for wiring breaks at inner door jams ,can be at either door ,happens from harness flexing over time while opening and closing doors, you'll have to slice thru wrap to see wires clearly, spraying wd40 in thru switch levers cleans up contacts well on older gm

2005 ford freestar power door locks are intemittenly working. Drivers door works fine all the time. When I go to unlock all doors, they will sometimes work and sometimes not.

You need to order an "actuator" and install it, or go to the Ford dealer (or your trusted mechanic) and have the actuator replaced. The actuator is a solenoid that locks an unlocks the door latch. You can do it yourself if you are willing to take your door panel off and slice up your knuckles a bit.

These things have been a source of revenue for Ford for all models for many years. They just wear out too soon under normal use.

Both my 2004 Freestar side door actuators stopped working (intermittently at first) withing 2 months of each other in 2007. I ordered them from Bob Utter Ford (1-800-259-3560), for $42 each plus $9 shipping. See if your Ford dealer can match that before you order.
