Sounds like it is either flasher or switch assembly.

My blower quit in my Jeep Wrangler 2001 could it be the HEVAC fuse

If 40A FUSE 1 in the power distribution center and 10A FUSE 8 in the fuse block are OK, the only other possibilities are the blend door actuator, the blower motor relay, the blower motor resistor block, and associated switches.

Turn signals are usually very reliable and problems mostly begin when a bulb is carelessly replaced. Other than this most problems are related to the hazard warning switch which tends to be used so infrequently the internal switch contacts become dull or dirty and so when it is operated causes turn signal problems, including them not working at all.

Usually spending a few minutes rapidly operating the hazard switch puts matters right.
It is also worth checking the fuse(s) before resorting to voltmeters and wiring diagrams.

My 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee turn signals stopped working. The indicator light/chime also stopped working. Tried flasher relay and a new switch but still not working. Hazards work fine. Any ideas?

Did you check power an grounds with volt ohm meter ? you replaced the combination flasher ? Did you check fuse # 20 & 4 in the underhood junction box ? Pull the flasher relay an check for voltage in an voltage out , need a wiring diagram to do that ! Go free wiring diagrams !

97 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl. Turn signals, headlights, parking lights, tail and brake lights, and instrument panel are all out. Only interior light above brake pedal is working. Engine will start.

i think you ment IP cluster backlights dead not warning ligts
that is real the huge parking light structures.
a blown fuse. it is, why not test them ? first.

either cab fuse or the engine bay fuse box.
12vdc on both sides of fuse, is a good fuse, key on.
100% accurate test. no guessing. ever with voltmeter.
(rare exceptions a car with a ground fuse, very rare)
so lets do this the hard way, no fuse tests......

but hark the fsm is free. why not just look at the road map er, schematic, (wiring diagrams)
lets do HL , they are hot all the time, keys lost .

your car is a TJ so having a TJ book is spiffy , no? KEEN?
lets do that. TJ wiring

now click wiring, following me?

my guess is parks are dead High beams good, right, ?????
yes then go to JUMP 1.
HL dead highs and low beam? parks out.(aka TAIL)
PDF page # 92
fuse PDC #17 blown? kills cluster dead too
JUMP1: parks dead.
had lamps is fuse #1, jb (page 134 pdf)
then PDC fuse 4 and 10 (lows and highs)

PDC is engine bay box.
JB is cab box.

so my guess (hard way)
fuse 10 and CB 24 was blown. kills high/low beams
Fues1 and 4 only parks. and cluster dimmer feed.

page 134 makes all this childs play with a meter.
volt meter.

96 jeep cherokee fuse replace

Word to the wise, Theres fuses also in the junction box. Its located in passengers front kick panel. You are having trouble with several fuses. PDC maxifuse 5 is for headlamp switch . owners manual says theres a fuse panel under LH steering wheel. Find yours. then check all fuses with a test light. Theres supposed to be a relay center to the right under the dash. hmm. Better check behind kick panel RF for that too. Dual flasher is supposed to be there, nearby (relay center). Now goto the public library and have them show you the mitchell database. If they have one. There is also a tsb for towing relays interacting with turn signls (missing wire???) and updates for many PDC boxes(fuse links and various relay repairs). Theres updates for diagrams, connector pin views and vehicle locations. jeep has been kept in disarray with many owner changes as a company. Your search has just begun. Bring a fresh cup of coffee and plenty of spare change to get prints of their updated info. The factory manuals and schematics are inundated with misdirection and upside down pictures. I read recalls first and then tsb's then "dealer info". painstakingly checking each figure is the only way to happen upon it. I dont think Eugene could read, so be careful and map out the testing your own way. happy jeep!!! It seems every jeep is special in its own way. Hopefully yours isn't as special as the (no start)(no spark) grand cherokee I have been working on. I found a plug with 3 wires where the schematic lacked the p/s wires. and this was on the transmission neutral/start!!! and connected to start enable at the pcm.!!! Pray for me. or the jeep. back up lights are PDC fuse 11. auxillary lights are PDC fuse 13. dome/courtesy is PDC 16. turn signal flasher fuse is jct box cavity 8. courtesy, radio, clock and memory etc. are fuse cavity 9 jct box. headlamp delay module is jct cavity 11. instrument lights are with clock, radio /clock and memory, headlamp switch, and yes you guessed it, park lamps they are jct box cavity 15 . trailer tow is 16. 17 is gages, headlamp delay module, chime module, ovrhd cnsl. 19 is instrument panel lamps, and radio illumination. circuit breakers are often inside the lightswitch. if you have class III towing theres a circuit breaker located somewhere" near" the jct box. Be sure and answer with a detailed rendition of the findings you incurr. Harbor freight has DVOM's and wiring repair supplies. See also Ace Hardware or Radio Shack. our local car parts stores have ideas as well as tools and supplies. all the best!!

YJ Blinker Relay

Hi there,

Both the hazard and the blinker flashers are located on the fuse panel. They pull straight out.

When both turn signals fail, the cause may be a blown fuse, a faulty flasher, a broken turn signal switch or a bad connection.

When you try the turn signals, do they light up and not blink?
-If so, probably the flasher unit.

When you try the turn signals, does nothing happen?
-Check the fuse

Let me know if the problem continues after replacing the flasher.
