You can use any vacuum port on the manifold for that. If you want to mess with it a bit, if you have an open port on the carb that is above the throttle plate, you can use that and see if performance is better. Some engines like it and some don't, but it's not like you have to take the engine apart to try it!!

I need a vacuum diagram for a 1980 22RE engine w/ 2 bbl carb

I don't think your engine is a 22R-E as the E denotes electronic fuel ejection. For 1980 it should be just a 22R. I would not suggest slapping on another carb without expecting more work than just hooking up the original vacuum lines. Some lines you could cap off but others would need the vacuum and rerouting. There is plenty of info in the following blog on removing smog devices and extra vacuum lines here:
There are also plenty of pictures and diagrams for your engine. Making a trip to your local junkyard might find you a 22R with a carb still attached but it's slim these days. I know this question is from January but if it's too late to help you than maybe it can help some one else.

How do I set the timing on my Jeep CJ7 (in-line 6) for a 6,000 foot increase in altitude? I have no idea where you set the timing but I've been told to advance something 2 deg per 1000 feet.

The way I've always set the timing in situations like that is either by vacuum or ear. If you have a vacuum gauge, hook it up to a manifold vacuum source and adjust the distributor for maximum vacuum. Then, ****** the timing until the vacuum falls 1" (to ******, turn it in the same direction the rotor turns) If you have no gauge, set it to maximum rpm's and then ****** until you just hear the engine speed go down a little bit. Not exact, but I've done it. If it pings after you set it while driving, ****** it a bit more.

1978 CJ7 No power and back fires when accelerated.

Timing should advance when accelerated. You have the vac on the distributor hooked to manifold vacuum. It needs to be on ported vacuum. And your base timing could be higher. I would set it at ten degrees.

Need to figure out where my vaccum lines go off of my carb on my 81 cj7

on the radiator support, you'll find the vacuum diagram , easy as a road map to read, for some. If this is a replacement engine, go with the basic line configuration of; vacuum advance, automatic tranny vacuum line, temperature controls if vacuum operated, fuel tank canister. Don't be surprised to see you can block a number of vacuum fittings off the carb. If emissions is an issue, you will want to google the info. List the name, make, model and search on google for the vacuum diagram

4 wheel drive problem with jeep wagoneer 1983

I don't know about the years Quadratrack was from 1976 to 1979 in CJ7's i'm not sure about wagoneer's i have a bunch of these units and i have rebuilt them as well. the vacuum lines are esential. there should be a vacuum control knob in the glove box. those lines go to a vacuum type accuator on the top of the transfer case, it might be a good idea to use new vacuum line here. a feed line comes off the intake manifold to supply vacuum to this system. all those lines need to work correctly for that switch. as for the handle on the floor board thats the high low switch on the reduction unit on the transfer case. this gives you 4 low . if it's not hooked up you only have 4 hi. some of these units came only with 4-hi. if you need more info you can drop me an e-mail i would be glad to help.
