Check the level of the antifreeze in your radiator first thing. If it is low then it does not flow well enough to make it through the heater core which is why you don't have heat. If the level of antifreeze is OK in the vehicle then I would look at replacing the thermostat that might be stuck open. Both of these are easy inexpensive fixes and hopefully one of the tme works for you.

Good Luck

The most common cause is a bad thermostat. this is a quick fix so just go to any auto zone, purchase the thermostat for your vehicle and ask them to assist you in changing it right there in the store parking lot. They usually loan out tools and assistance at no charge, a wonderful service.

Check for an inoperative thermostat, low coolant level due to leaks, loose or improperly adjusted heater cables, or more than likely due to age - a bad temperature blend door actuator. Before condemning actuator, check fuse 10 in the interior fuse block. If blown, check circuits or have a qualified technician check for a short.

SOURCE: I have a 96 Ford

Assuming it is your AC/Heater fan.....does it sound like it is running at full speed/noisy ? If it is dragging....likely to blow fuse or burn relay contacts. Otherwise, wiring short to ground from relay to motor switch is possible cause.
