Are the lifters adjustable on a 98 Dodge Ram van 1500 V6

I don't think so. I believe they are hydraulic. If they're tapping when starting up cold, try switching to Royal Purple oil. It seems to help with Dodge motors for some reason.

Cost to replace lifters in a 1999 dodge ram 5.2

Did someone tell you, you needed lifters? I have done maybe five jobs in 40 years that the lifters were the problem. Most times is the push rods and rocker arms. Pull a valve cover and see how clean it is. Sludge build up? Or just dirty oil. Being a 99 and if it has high miles, I would go with an engine swap.

Noisy lifters

its either worn lifters, rocker arms or camshaft lobes.Try to adjust the valves or add a bottle of STP oil treatment to your oil and that should help reduce the noise.

Why doesnt my 2006 dodge ram show codes for faulty lifter or or oil pressure. My truck makes a loud ticking sound coming from passenger side. sounds as if the lifters are knocking. took it in to the shop...

Most mechanical problems, such as noisy lifters or bearings, can't be detected by the engine controller and thus there won't be any codes set UNLESS the problem is causing a misfire or emission related concern. The ticking noise may well be a lifter even though none of them appear to be collapsed as the spring inside them will keep the lifter expanded but isnt' strong enough to keep them from being noisy when the lifter can no longer keep oil under pressure trapped inside. You may have to have someone do some further testing and inspecting to figure out exactly where the noise is coming from. Good luck, hope this helps!

Loud lifter noise

Over time and miles the lifters tend to collapse and the only way to quiet the noise is to replace them or use something like lucas to try to keep the pressure up in the lifters. If you did replace the lifters it would help with performance because when the lifters start to collapse the valves do not open all of the way. Hope this helps!

Very loud tick coming from drivers side, dodge replaced all of the lifters, still the same

on the 5.7 this could be normal as the vehicle has roller lifters. the noise (tapping sound ) resinates down the exhaust and always sounds louder on the drivers side. Hope this helps

06 dodge ram hemi engine knock at idle from bottom of engine

Sometimes a valve lifter will stick and cause a ticking it is possible that a valve lifter has lost its prime or it might be that the oil is too thin. Wthout more info my bet would be a lifter
