Question about 1996 Honda Accord

1 Answer

My 1994 Honda Accord won't start. Lights work, though. Any ideas?

There's been a heavy rainfall. Is that possibly related, or just a coincidence?

It could be related. You may have moisture in the distributor cap. Check to see if ytou have sufficiant spark and fuel. If no spark then start with removing the distributor cap and checking for moisture.

I have a 1997 Honda Accord ... the battery is okay ... it won't click or turn over ... the Hazard Lights are on continuously ... the car will start with a rolling start (it is a manual transmission)...

Hi, have you tried to bypass the interlock switch on the clutch pedal arm? Just ground the blue wire. also check the 50 amp fuse #42. if not that, the starter relay may be bad or possibly the starter itself. To check the starter, please read my post here: http://www1.fixya.com/cars/r6222268-engine_doesnt_crank_turn_over

We have a 2004 xc90 after heavy rainfall, which maybe a coincidence, we came home to find that all three of the brake lights were on. The car was locked and keys were not in the ignition. The lights will...

Hello heather...the 02-04 Volvos had a large number of documented electrical problems, from brake lights to cluster lights ---look under the dash for a wire running near the top of the brake pedal stalk. Look reall close at it, some switches are adjustable to control how far the pedal must move away from the switch before the plunger extends which turns on the light. It's possible the switch has shifted or it may be broken/cracked...or it's stuck causing the lights to stay on. Here is a link for the image of the brake switch. I hope this helps.

My 91 honda accord wont start?is it the starter or just electrical problem?

first check to see if you have headlights, if you do check to see the brightness of the headlights if the lights look weak your battery could be the problem . if the lights are bright then a possible bad starter

My d light on my 1995 honda accord is flashing and the check engine light is on and also the speed thing doesn't work. Please help!!

all of these lights and speedo not working matbe related, you may have a bad speed sensor, but the first thing you need to do is have the codes pulled from the computer . this will give a generally idea of where the problem may be,may need to have a shop scan it.

My honda accord aerodeck es 1994 model starts but soon cuts off and won't start for a while. Someone said it could be a fuel relay problem. If so, can i possibly by-pass the relay? If o how?

too many possible causes - MAF, MAP, IAT, CTS, Vacuum Leaks, worn engine components (rings, valves, etc.) fuel pump/pressure, injectors, ignition system, timing, etc. Take it in for diagnosis.. may save you money
