The vacuume hose routing should be on a sticker under your hood, usually on the rad fan cover.you may need a throttle position sensor changed ,get the codes read before you do anything.

I would start with the fuel filter if it lacks in power when you press on the gas pedal

My 1992 chevy g20 van surges and i'm not sure exactly why. I changed the pcv valve, fuel filter, spark plugs, and air filter. What are some possibilities

My first thought would be a vacuum leak in one of the hoses. Rubber hoses get brittle with age and even a small crack in a hose may cause surging. Happened to me in a Lumina.

Just changed fuel pump and now rough idle surges and when stopped at red light my check engine light comes on but goes off when i start moving again

Did you just do the pump or the whole module. If you just did the pump the hose at the fuel pump may not be adeqautely secure this can result in low fuel pressure. Just for giggles remove the vacuum hose at the fuel pressure regulator and see if it make a difference if it does redo the fuel pump, secure the fuel pump with new clamps (not those plastic ones)

I have a low pressure fuel code and my 1988 suburban will not run very well what should I do?

Hi!!
Start by replacing the fuel filter and check vacuum hose to fuel pressure regulator, if that does not solve the problem, check the fuel pressure, borrow a Fuel Pressure Tester from AutoZone, Checkers or similar autoparts store and check fuel pump pressure. They will tell you the correct pressure.

Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Runs poorly(very Rich, stumbles) when map sensor is plugged in, but runs smoother with it unplugged...new map sensor, EGR, TPS, O2, Fuel Pump, timing is right, good vacuum at map, no vacuum leaks,

If it is fuel injected you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. The regulator is attached to intake manifold with a vacuum hose and the bladder sometimes fails causing gas to be dumped directly into the intake manifold. Only solution is to replace the fuel pressure regulator.

Engine surging when you maintain a certain speed at 40-65mph 97 chevy suburban

easy things to check first...#1 transmission fluid for correct level and that fluid doesn't smell burnt. if smells burnt, may need transmission flush. #2 change fuel filter. #3 purchase a can of Seafoam @ Autozone $10 pour in half can to half tank of gas and see if this wont clean up the fuel injectors and check all injector connections for security. #4 check all vacuum intake hoses..they may have cracks in them allowing a leak. if you checked all these out and they're good...then its probably a bad fuel pump or defective ECM. hope this helps.

Vacuum line for fuel pressure regulator 98 Tahoe

Was there a hose on the old one? If not, you don't have one. It is most likely your fuel pump if you are not getting fuel.
