Question about Dodge Charger
I have a 2006 Dodge charger. I can't shift out of park. This has never happened before. I can turn the steering wheel, but the shifter will not move. I am parked on a slight incline. I always park on a steeper incline in my driveway, with no problem. Any suggestions?
Welcome to the world of broken dodge shifters... I'm a member myself BUT there's hope!
Billettechnologies.com has a replacement cog for the shifter mechanism. And there are online replacement instructions linked from their website. Dodge only sells a replacement shifter assembly.. this is cheaper and the replacement part is machine metal instead of Dodge's plastic part... It'll take some patience and tools to get at it, but it's doable..

Are you steping on the brake pedal?Try rocking the car as you try to put it in gear.Get someone to help you,be careful, not to hurt any one while doing this,
