You have a problem with the ac system, witch you have figured out.Smeone will have to put ac gauges on the ac system to check to see what the problem is.Reset the system and turn on the ac,and see if the cooling fans every come on.If they don`t,then the problem could be that the condenser is allowing the compressor to build up to much head pressure.Hope this was helpful.

DTC P0645: A/C Clutch Relay Control Circuit
Circuit System Description
When the A/C switch is pressed, the HVAC control module sends a serial data message to the ECM. This input will request the engine control module (ECM) to ground the A/C compressor clutch relay control circuit, which will switch the A/C CMPRSR CLUTCH relay on. With the relay contacts closed, battery voltage is supplied to the A/C compressor clutch assembly.

When you switch to defrost or the air conditioner, the vehicle shuts down completely

Does it shut off, like the electrical system shuts off and the engine slowly stops (the same as when you turn off the ignition)? Or does it stop abruptly and with a noise, like a squeal or thunk? If it is the former, then it is a short (or bad ground) in your air conditioning system. If it is the latter, then, yes, it could be the compressor bearings are seized.

I have a 1993 Chevy S-10 4.3L automatic. The heat won't shut off. It pours out regardless of the position of the climate controls. Coolant level and condition good. AC would work but. Thanks.

2000 Chevy Cavalier making a noise when air is shut off

This problem sounds like the aircompressor pully, the bearing is shot.
With the engine running and the air conditioner off there is a grinding noise, look at the compressor pully, does it wobble? Then turn on the air conditioner and the noise stops, look at the compressor pully again, the wobble stops? If so that's the problem.

1997 lincoln town car, no signal to air conditioner, no ground or hot to low pressure switch - ie the compressor is not coming on

Disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 seconds and then replace it,it will reset the ac system ,but freon it up,this is the cause for the ac to shut down most likely.

Fast idle wont kick down. it has to be shut off and restarted 2or 3 times. before it will kick down

I believe you will find that your idle air control valve needs to be replaced. This is located on the Throttle body. After replacing the idle air control valve, make sure you disconnect the battery ( either the negative or positive cable ) and leave disconnected for atleast 10 minutes. Then reconnect and start vehicle, your car may fast idle for a short period of time before it returns to idle so is so your ecu relearns the correct postion and resistance reading

Im going to live it parked for 3 months

Hi, 3 months is not that long for a car to sit. But yes, turn the air suspension switch located in the trunk to "off", disconnect the + positive from the battery post under the hood, and last fill the gas tank (full) to prevent inner gas-tank corrosion. When you return, connect the + positive to the battery, start the car, then turn the air suspension switch to "on". Don't be surprised if the air bags in the suspension lose some air while gone, the bags are known to leak.
