Are the belts new or have been i use for a while?
if they were there for a while then they may need tensioning or replacing, check there condition if cracks or tears are found replace,if new they may be tension to much or to little if ok use some belt dressing, you can get this at any auto supply shop

1988 ford ranger 2.3, why is my egr valve squeling it sounds like when ur belt squels?

Disconnect the vacuum line to it after the engine is running. It may generate a trouble code but if the noise stops you have a vacuum leak in the egr diaphram. You will need to replace the egr.

Squealing noise on 01 ford ranger while accelerating

Hi, I'm glad to help!

First you need to remove the drive belt and spin the Alternator, A/C Clutch and Water Pump pulley's and see if you hear the squeal. Its possibly it may have to be under a load before you hear it but its worth a try. It's also possible it could have something to o with the Throttle Body or Intake Manifold. Hope this helps and have an awesome day.

I have a 2004 nissan i replaced the serpentine belt and now when you start it, it squels for a second.

your belt tensioner (sp) might be loose you can also use belt dressing. the squel is from the belt sliding on a pulley trying to catch up with the speed of the pulley

I have 94 4.3 caprice it squel sound like a belt but i took the belt all the way off still squel nobody knows help

If you took all the belts off the car wouldn't start!!!! You may have taken off one belt (it appears tha't not the cause) Chances are its not the belt but an actuall pully from one of your accessories (power steering, alternator, AC compressor etc..) while the car is running (and be careful of loose clothing and hair) see if you can get your ear close the squealing and narrow it down. This will help pinpoint the problem.

Lod chirping, squeling noise from engine in ford taurus. Belt is

The cam shaft stabilizer for the 2003 to 2005 have been a known issue. They will intermitantly squel till they go completly out.

I took my 2003 and 2005 Turas to a professional mechanic. They where able to verify the cam shaft stabilizer was the issue since the squeling noise was coming from top right side of the engine.

The surpintine (fan, AC) belts are locted on the left side of the engine.

Once I had the cam shaft stabilizer replaced. I never had that squel again.
