Noise from rear-end on jeep chrokee

Hey Dennis,
Have you checked the lube level in the read differential? If its good, you have a wheel bearing going bad. To replace it, you will need to remove the axle.. This is not a hard fix, but you have to have the ALL the tools and you MUST put the rear end up on jack stands..DO NOT use a jack to hold the rear end up.. IF you are not very mechanically inclined, please take this to a qualified professional..

How to replace the shocks on my 2002 jeep grand Cherokee??

shocks are easy my friend. make sure you have shocks in the front not struts. a strut will have a spring around the shock with a large steel plate holding the spring to the strut. first off. the car does not have to be lifted to change the rear and if you have shocks on the front as well. just simply remove the lower and upper mounting hardware then change. i can not say enough make sure you have shocks in the front and not struts. struts are a pain and can be very dangerous to replace if you dont have the correct equipment

I hve a 1992 Jeep Cherokee when I am driving I can't go above 55 or it shakes and rattles in the front end severely. Jacked it up and you can easily grab the front wheels and shake them and there is...

yes it is obvious. the thing is nearly 20 years old and all the front, probably rear too, suspension
components are long past their service life. ball joints/control arms/struts/shocks/tie rod ends/wheel bearings. You name it, it needs replaced at 10 years or 100,000 miles. this thing is ready for its second go around and most likely it was never done before. Get your wallet out.

Rear Suspension noise on 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8

Check sway bar. On some models as suspension sags, sway bar outer ends will contact the body, leaving a mark or dent just above the end, causing a bang over bumps. Only way to correct this is to change springs or add a spring lift.
