Big Problem you may not be aware that Suzuki uses special trans fluid, needs to be silica based for import cars. The Transmission is sealed and requires no maintenance for 100,000 miles, and has a 7 year 100k warranty. If you add the wrong fluid, it will mix with and foul up the good fluid causing sticky, sluggish response from the transmission. This would void the warranty, How did you even loose fluid?

Using a long neck narrow tube funel, remove the trans dip stick and fill through tube, check level with car running and off

Mazda 1999 B3000 what specifically needs to be replaced when transmission fluid get into the radiator?

The radiator must have an internal leak between the coolant and the reservoir for cooling the transmission fluid. Replace the radiator, drain and flush the engine and heater core, and drain and replace the transmission filter. You will need to remove the lower transmission pan, let it drain out (about 6 quarts), then replace the filter that is there, just underneath the pan. If you see any evidence of coolant in the transmission fluid, put it back together, run the vehicle for a bit-till the engine has warmed up, a short drive should do-then shut it off and drain the transmission fluid again.

When the transmission is drained this way, not all the transmission fluid will be drained-about half will still be in there, mostly in the torque converter. So if the fluid is contaminated, you need to drain and refill at least twice.

check the level of the coolant as milky transmission oil is water in the oil ( busted oil cooler in the radiator.) or water in the replacement transmission.

Put a new radiator on 3 days ago...transmission fluid is in the anti-freeze..

It sounds like you got a bad radiator! Or your transmission got hot enough before you replaced the radiator to rupture the cooling jacket.

A Jimmy runs pretty hot, so I always recommend the separate transmission cooler to help with the engine and transmission cooling problems of the Jimmy.

New tranny in my 92 ssei now it has tranny fluid in the rad ???????

The transmission and engine are there own entities. Unfortuantly the radiator in some vehicles cool the tranny fluid. Its possable when the coolant lines were disconnected from the transmission or from the radiator, the seal was broken on the radiator where the line goes in from the radiator, so you wont see it because its internal. This will allow trans fluid to enter into the radiator. Be careful with trans fluid mixed with the coolant may cause engine damage. Your solution to the problem if this is infact the source would mean replacing the radiator, if you do this be sure to flush the coolant system to rid trans fluid.

Replacing the Radiator

YOU NEED TO DRAIN THE COOLANT SYSTEM. REMOVE THE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY.YOU NEED TO UNBOLT SWING AWAY THE ENGINE TORQUE STRUT MOUNTS FROM THE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT.LOOSEN THE THE THROUGH BOLTS IN THE STRUT MOUNTS FIRST TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE RUBBER BUSHING.YOU NEED TO REMOVE COOLANT FANS AND REMOVE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FROM THE LOW COOLANT SENSOR IN THE RIGHT RADIATOR TANK.DISCONECT THE COOLER LINES FROM THE RADIATOR CAP ENDS LINES PREVENT FLUID LOST.USE DRIP PAN TO CATCH FLUID.BESURE TO TAG OR NUMBER TRANSMISSION COOLER LINES SO THEY CAN BE INSTALL IN THE ORINAL POSITION.REMOVE THE COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG HOSE FROM RADIATOR AND REMOVE THE UPPER AND LOWER RADIATOR HOSES THEN PUT EVERY THING BACK VISA VERSA.BESURE REPLACE ALL HOSES, TOP HOSE AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.IF YOU BEEN HAVING OVER HEATING PROBLEMS REPLACE THERMOSTAT ALSO.

Hi my 2.6 a4 just dumped all auto tran fluid i believe from the passenger side, appears to be missing something in front of cv, can see into gearbox can you tell me what this is?

The transmission line may have a crack in it or where the transmission line connects to the radiator may have gone loose causing the fluid lost. The transmission cooler is integrated with the radiator so there are two steel lines from the transmission to the radiator on the passenger side. Check the lines for any damages such as cracks or corrosion, and replace as needed. Good luck and hope this helps. try not to run the transmission low on fluid, damage to transmission will occur due to low transmission fluid = costly.
