I have a 1991 chevrolet caprice, that is throwing water out the side of the engine below the manifold on drivers side of the vehicle, its not a head gasket as the oil is normal, could it be a freeze plug by any chance.

There are a number of them depending on what engine you have but the placement is ,fairly standard. You will find a row of them, usually 3-4, on each side of the block about halfway between the oil pan and heads. They are about11/2 inches across and round, inset into the block. There are also some at the front and rear of the heads and the block. They are replaceable by a DIYer and are where a block heater is installed. Hope this helps.

Look under your exhaust manifold between the block and manifold and there a couple between your block and transmission

How do i change a freeze plug on a 1993 chevy suburban 1500

They're all replaced the same way. bash in one side of the plug to turn it sideways in the hole. The freeze plug might be impossible to retrieve if it falls into the coolant passage — be careful.
Use a gripping device (pliers, ViseGrip, water-pump pliers, etc.) to get a hold on it, and wrench it out of the hole. Clean the hole thoroughly

coat the sealing surface of the new plug with Permatex No. 2 sealant, and drive the pug in squarely. Fins a pipe or socket that fits into the recess of the plug, and drive it in with that.

You need to do whatever is necessary to get square access to the plug. Sometimes that means removing cross members, sometimes that means removing steering parts, sometimes that means removing the engine.

An alternative is to get an expanding rubber replacement plug. To install those, all that is required is to be able to turn the nut in their center so as to get them to expand into the hole.

Check the trailer plug ground first. If in doubt. Ground in another location. Make sure the area is free of rust and the ground is tight.
